Why not just use a full accounting package?
Need invoicing, bank feeds, payroll and a per-seat licence? Buy one. Need this quarter's VAT worked right, the boxes tied to the figures behind them, and the records kept, for one flat price? That is this.
One thing a general package does that this deliberately does not: submit the return to HMRC. That needs HMRC-recognised software. Vatnix works the figures and keeps the records; the submission is yours or your accountant's.
